Jon,

Few advocates for opening more public waters to drilling argue that the ONLY solution to the rising price of gasoline is more drilling.

Alternative energy sources are already being pursued...without Government interference in the market.

The market will solve the problem...Government will just interfere with the solution process and cost us dearly.

New York's infrastructure system including the LIRR would benefit from privatization.

Privatizing the LIRR would infuse capital and market efficiencies into public transportation.

New York's economy has transformed from a market based system into a Government controlled system, particularly its land use system.

Socialism is a highly inefficient and static economic system. Government controlled systems cause an increase in the cost of living and a decline in value for a comparable quality of life.

Socialism destroys the middle class. In the case of New York State, both young adults and retirees are a subset of the middle class.

The middle class is emigrating to those regions in the country with more market based economic systems, most particularly in the south and southeast, which benefit from a substantially better functioning land use system with county and city zoning.

New York State desperately needs to streamline its municipal Government system by abolishing village and town governments.

Every state with village and town governments face similar economic problems to Long Island and New York State.

Excessive Government is the cause of our problems...and too many Government jurisdictions create excessive Government.

Stop the insanity!

I tried LiV today. The only good thing about it is the bottle. The taste is too harsh and strong. Vodka is suppose to be smooth. Maybe Long Island needs better potatoes.

Quote from Wikipedia

"The scope of a trademark is determined by whether there is "likelihood of confusion" (note that this is different from whether there has been any actual confusion), between that trademark and another trademark in the minds of the consuming public. Likelihood of confusion is generally determined by reviewing a set list of factors which, depending on the judicial circuit, range from 7 to 13 in number. In the Federal Circuit, for example, these are called the DuPont factors:

We determine likelihood of confusion by focusing on the question whether the purchasing public would mistakenly assume that the applicant's goods originate from the same source as, or are associated with, the goods in the cited registrations. [citation]. We make that determination on a case-by-case basis, [citation], aided by the application of the factors set out in In re E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co., 476 F.2d 1357, 177 USPQ 563 (CCPA 1973).

Danny Kootch - Trademark laws fall under the jurisdiction of the Federal, not local or state government; A trademark is protected in all 50 US states. This is how he is infringing on their rights even though there are no In And Out locations east of the Rockies

Hey Tiki!
How about lending me that set of shoulders of yours, to get me past nay-saying politicians in Southern Mississippi, where I'm trying to build a house out of reclaimed aircraft hangar components and reused shipping containers?

You can read about it at;
http://renaissanceronin.wordpress.com

It's my attempt at providing "affordable housing" for my family, in a place hopelessly stuck in the early 20th century.

Just imagine all those politicians lined up against you are linebackers, and then... give 'em one for me!

Good luck Tiki, we're rooting for you! God Bless ya, buddy! (Even if you're from NY!) LOL!
