Our trip to the market

July 25, 2008 by Henry E. Powderly II

In his week’s Long Island Business News, Ambrose Clancy writes about the Long Island Farmers Market, run by J. Kings Food Service Professionals in Holtsville.

Here’s a video we whipped up from the trip.

And don’t forget to visit our Blip.tv page to view the show in fullscreen.

Thanks for writing about the Holtsville Farmers market. Although I haven’t been there, I’ve been gratefully patronizing the Northport Farmer’s Market every Saturday morning. It’s located right on our beautiful harborfront, and features a good variety of local and local organic produce, as well as local fish, flowers, honey and baked goods. A great place to support local farmers, say no thanks to produce trucked thousands of miles in the heart of our local growing season, and to meet and greet your neighbors.
