The time has come to pick a winner in our Name That Drink contest. We know 7-Eleven is dying to start marketing former Long Island Power Authority chairman and chief executive Richie Kessel’s signature beverage. Remember, it contains 3/4 Diet Pepsi and 1/4 Hawaiian Punch.
The entries were great, and thanks to all who participated.
But the winners are …
Honorable mention: Michael, with Tropical Megawatt Fizz, an almost Wonka-esque entry.
But the winner was Craig, for his simple and wonderfully marketable Kessel Kooler entry.
Congrats.
Thanks. Even an honorable mention is indeed an honor…
Kudos to whoever does your graphics; nice job on the customized Big Gulp cup.
If I understood winner Craig Plunkett’s post (and a Ka-lee-four-nee-a accent) correctly , he intends the drink to be pronounced “Kessel Kewler”. (Do I have that right? Gnarly, dewd!) Now the only hurdle is to get the timid (;>) Mr. Kessel to agree to franchise his name…
You like me, you really, really like me! ( sniff, sniff ) Actually, I was trying to convey the pacing of the Governator in my pronounciation notes. Where do I collect my prize?
